R. Woody Daroca, Managing Director

Woody Daroca has been an executive recruiter since 1983. In 1992, he founded Human Resource Solutions, a Denver-based executive search firm that assists CEOs and senior executive teams select, attract and retain top executives. He has successfully advised companies in a number of industries. Woody has substantial experience working with entrepreneurial, growth oriented and private-equity backed turnaround situations. His practice includes conducting in-depth assessments of senior executives utilizing selection tools such as: structured interviews, behaviorally based/competency interview techniques, as well as behavioral and values profiling instruments.

In addition, he consults with senior management teams on human resource issues, particularly executive selection, development and performance. Before founding Human Resource Solutions in 1992, Woody was a search consultant for several boutique executive search firms. Earlier in his career, he held positions in human resource administration, including organization development, assessment, recruiting, and training and development. Woody earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and his Master’s in Social Work from Tulane University. He also has extensive training in organizational design and development.

Cathy Dowdle, Director of Operations

With more than 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising, Cathy joined the team at Human Resource Solutions in 2017. Prior to joining the company, she served in management positions in marketing, media negotiations, sales and customer service.

Cathy’s responsibilities at Human Resource Solutions consist of assisting in managing all stages of the search process including: candidate identification and company research, documentation and organization, and client and candidate services. Additional responsibilities are project management, website management, marketing, internet research, database management, client relations, business development, and office management. Cathy earned a B.S. / B.A. in Business Administration and Humanities from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jay Kirksey, Managing Director

With over twenty-five years executive leadership experience in both Human Resources and Operations, Jay Kirksey has delivered results for organizations ranging in size from less than 50 to over 15,000 employees. He assists companies in developing practical solutions for employee related problems and identifying and implementing programs that help companies meet their business objectives. Prior to Human Resource Solutions, Jay served as member of senior management team at Pendum, LLC that was charged with restoring profitability of this $200 million private equity turnaround. While at Pendum Jay was responsible for transforming the HR function from a highly administrative focus group to a HR business partner model. The new HR structure was responsible for decreasing employee turnover from 46%/year to under 20%, defeating a union organizing attempt and consolidating SG&A operations. Before Pendum, Mr. Kirksey was the Founder and Principal Consultant for HR Leadership Services, a generalist consulting firm specializing in organizational assessment, cultural change, employee engagement/retention and 360° feedback programs. Mr. Kirksey has held executive Human Resource roles at Quovadx (Healthcare Software), Digital Lighthouse (Call Center & CRM technology services), ADT Security Services and United Technologies. He held general management and senior operations positions with Arrow Electronic and NBI, Inc. Jay has a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.

Anne E. Sutcliffe Schreiber, Vice President of Recruiting

Anne joined Human Resource Solutions, as an Associate, in January 1998. Currently, Vice President of Recruiting and based in Denver, Colorado, she identifies and selects national leadership talent for client companies. Prior to joining Human Resource Solutions, Anne spent ten years in Chicago, Illinois, assisting companies with their strategic operations by providing business solutions and development services. Her work encompassed economic development, employee retention, business analysis, business expansion and government incentive programs. Anne has counseled a wide range of manufacturing, telecommunications and hospitality companies. She has further assisted and developed companies by providing a liaison between her clients and the Federal Departments of Labor, State, Commerce and Immigrate, as well as, the City of Chicago’s Departments of Revenue, Buildings, Law and Planning and Development. Anne earned a Bachelors of Art Degree in Journalism at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
